Civil Protection
Why should you enrol on this degree?
The Civil Protection degree is a high-quality, comprehensive programme designed for current and future Civil Protection Agents. Its primary purpose is to train highly qualified specialists with expertise in safety and civil protection – covering planning, prevention and response – and with the ability to plan for and manage emergency situations.
It therefore aims to prepare highly qualified specialists capable of identifying, characterising and assessing risks; planning emergency responses; designing and organising civil protection exercises; managing operations in emergency situations; responding to situations requiring highly specialised and multidisciplinary knowledge, such as intervention and rescue in confined spaces; communicate with the public and all other stakeholders in emergency situations; and lead teams.
With a highly specialised teaching team, comprising mainly lecturers with extensive professional experience in the areas they teach, this degree programme is geared towards practical skills, equipping students with key competencies, particularly in the use of new technologies and models for identifying, characterising and managing risks, and in the planning and management of security and civil protection operations.
